Mavra Volia

The unique beach of Mavra Volia or Mavros Gialos can be seen shortly after following the narrow road from the picturesque harbor of Emporios. It is one of the most spectacular beaches, characterized by the large black pebbles created by the lava of the volcano Psaronas which is now dormant. After Mavra Volia, Foki beach shares the same characteristics. The view is spectacular and the water is crystal clear. In Mavra Volia there is a canteen and at the port of Emporios taverns and mini markets are available.
