Katarraktis is a seaside medieval village whose characteristics are not saved anymore. The inhabitants are engaged in agriculture and fishing. The ruined medieval houses of the place are of interest and so are its churches such as St. John. The Monastery of Panagia Rouhouniotisa is located a few kilometres away and it's worth a visit. Katarraktis is a very popular destination especially during the summer months since there are some great fish taverns along the small coastal road. The village celebrates on June 24th, August 15th and August 29th.
