Karyes

Karyes village is amphiteatrically built, hidden behind a hill thus it isn't visible from the main road till the very last minute. The area has lots of springs where cold water spouts from and it is also known for its monasteries. Panagia Voitheia, Nea Moni, and Agioi Pateres are all located close to Karyes. St Markella and the church of the Assumption are placed in the village and its feast day is on July 22nd.
