Lagada

Lagada is a picturesque seaside village with a long maritime tradition. Small forests of pine and eucalyptus trees surround Lagada which is particularly famous for its fish taverns. The village consists of narrow streets, small houses and tidy gardens. The bay forms a natural harbor and the complex of Oinousses islands can be discerned in the northeast Aegean. Daily routes are available from Lagada to Oinousses which last an hour or twenty minutes depending on the means of transport. The village church is St. John and the abandoned settlement of Kydianta Agrelopo is located close to Lagada. The local elebration day is on September 17th.
